How long does carpet fitting take?
A single room can usually be fitted within a couple of hours. A full house including stairs, landing, and multiple rooms typically takes a full day. We will give you an accurate timescale with your quote.
Do you remove old carpet?
Yes. We will uplift and dispose of your old carpet and underlay as part of the fitting process. If existing gripper rods are in good condition we will reuse them; otherwise we replace them with new.
What type of carpet is best for high-traffic areas?
For hallways, stairs, and busy living rooms, we recommend polypropylene or nylon twist piles with a dense, low pile height. These products are hard-wearing, stain-resistant, and retain their appearance over years of heavy use.
Do I need new underlay?
We almost always recommend new underlay with a new carpet. Underlay affects the feel, warmth, sound insulation, and longevity of your carpet — old underlay is often compressed and degraded. We supply quality underlay as standard with every fitting.
Can you supply the carpet or should I buy my own?
We offer both options. We can supply carpet from our range of trusted brands at competitive prices, or we are happy to fit carpet you have purchased yourself. Either way, the quality of our fitting is the same.
